Developing a world-class science & innovation district

Knowledge Quarter Liverpool
This tour will showcase a dynamic neighbourhood within Liverpool City Centre, developed around the themes of knowledge, innovation and global ambition. The Knowledge Quarter Liverpool is an innovation district located in the eastern half of the city centre. The area is home to the some of the city’s main academic and clinical institutions, including the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University, The School of Tropical Medicine, The Royal Liverpool Hospital and a large cluster of knowledge-based businesses. The area is fast becoming one of the world’s leading innovation districts and one of the largest academic and clinical campuses in the UK.

Future Proofing Your Business

Sci-Tech Daresbury
This tour will focus on the steps that businesses in the north west of England are taking to future-proof their businesses by implementing next-generation technologies. The campus at SciTech Daresbury provides a particularly unique environment where industry and academia come together to ensure that cutting-edge research translates into practical business applications.

Maritime and Energy

The Wirral Peninsula, a short drive through the Mersey Road Tunnel, has become a leading international centre for Renewables, Marine and Civil Nuclear Engineering.  This tour will be focused around Wirral Waters, the largest regeneration project in the UK by consented floor area. Here, you will learn of the opportunities in the region for businesses engaged in the fields of new energy technologies and environmental research, including offshore wind. Liverpool Bay is home to the world’s second largest concentration of wind farms and the first ever commercial deployment of the world’s largest wind turbines.
